Energy Healing

Is all energy healing created equal?

Chakra or energy center is a term used in the ancient Hindu system of energy healing known as Pranic healing. Prana means vital life force. Another term associated with Pranic healing is aura. Aura is a non-physical, energy-based body that exists alongside our physical body. It is said that the aura that surrounds our body has seven layers that correspond to the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual aspects of a person as manifested by energy.

Aspects of an individual's health can be deduced from the color and density of their auras. Aura is associated with six colors, which are interpreted as six personalities. A person possesses all of these colors, but one or two are more prominent.

Green: Determined achiever

Blue: Spiritual peacemaker

White: Unorthodox Chameleon

Red: An advocate

Orange: Communicator with imagination

Violet: Spiritual

Although Tantra is commonly associated with spirituality and sexuality, it is also a form of energy healing. It is derived from the word tan, which means to expand or spread. In Tantric writings on sex and spirituality, the concept of connectedness is a recurring theme. As a method of healing, spirituality and sex play an important role. It is assumed that the union of two individuals can reach spiritual levels during orgasm, which purges the body and mind of accumulated toxins. As negative energies, these impurities can manifest as physical illnesses.

In contrast to the Hindu origins of Puranic and Tantric healings, Reiki originated in Japan. Having been rediscovered in the early 1900s, it is considerably younger than Pranic and Tantric healings. Reiki represents universal energy, an energy emanating from a superior intelligence. Reiki teaches its students how to use this energy to heal physical, emotional, and mental ailments.

Although Pranic, Tantra, and Reiki are all energy healing systems, they utilize different types of energy: life energy, sexual energy, and universal energy, in that order. The concepts of the interconnectedness of the mind, body, and spirit; the connection of individuals to all living and nonliving things around them and the universe; and the influence of energy on physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being are among the most prominent similarities between these three healing modalities.

Why do individuals seek out energy healing?

Pranic, Tantric, and Reiki are regarded as alternative healing techniques. How is it that, despite the availability and relative accessibility of modern medicine, more and more individuals are drawn to them? Here are some potential explanations:

Energy healing succeeded where conventional medicine failed.

For a variety of explicable and unexplainable reasons, modern medical treatment may fail to cure certain ailments and conditions in a significant number of patients.

People believe that contemporary medicine is isolating.

Oftentimes, medical treatments are centered on the disease and its causative agent, which can leave the patient feeling isolated and as if they are merely the disease's host. The perception persists despite the fact that recent developments in hospital practice are gradually promoting the holistic treatment of patients. Since energy and spirituality are intimately linked, unlike in energy healing, the patient feels that all aspects of his health are being addressed.

Energy healing is natural and unobtrusive; therefore, it is safer.

For most patients, repeated surgical procedures are physically and emotionally traumatic. It is reasonable and desirable for patients and their families to seek out less stressful health interventions.

Energy healing is an effective method for relieving stress.

Meditation is an integral part of energy healing techniques, and this is an added benefit for people who are highly stressed. Furthermore, sophisticated equipment is not required, making it more convenient for energy healing students and future students.

Both alternative healing and conventional medicine have their advantages. And in the end, the restoration of good health is what matters.
