The Story Behind A’ho Namaste

A’ho Namaste was built by Cat, lovingly referred to by her hubby and children as a “southern hippie chick,” and her husband, Jay, whose Kiowa heritage and grounded spirit helped shape the soul behind the brand.

​

Together, they created a space rooted in mindfulness, humor, resilience, creativity, and the belief that healing should feel human, not performative.

​

Built along the Georgia coast, A’ho Namaste blends southern grit, soulful living, emotionally intelligent humor, coffee-fueled conversations, garden dirt under fingernails, and the quiet understanding that growth rarely happens in perfect straight lines.

This isn’t about pretending to have life mastered.

It’s about creating beauty while living it.

Our Philosophy

At A'ho Namaste, we believe we are born from love, connected through existence, and entrusted with caring for the world and one another.

​

We believe spirituality isn't something to be purchased, perfected, or prescribed. It's something we discover through living, questioning, growing, and occasionally realizing we were spectacularly wrong about something we once believed.

​

We honor the understanding that the Creator, by whatever name one chooses, is present throughout the living world.

​

Our mission is to encourage self-awareness, compassionate living, creative expression, and a deeper connection with ourselves, one another, and the natural world.

​

Through thoughtful writing, spiritual exploration, creativity, nature photography, practical resources, and humor, we create opportunities for people to question inherited beliefs, examine their relationship with fear and ego, and discover what living from love means to them.

We believe our worth is not determined by what we own, what we earn, or how much we accomplish.

​

We believe the things entrusted to us deserve thoughtful stewardship rather than unquestioned ownership.

We recognize that everyone walks a different path. No single tradition, philosophy, or belief system holds exclusive ownership of wisdom.

Founded in 2020, A'ho Namaste is a creative, spiritually curious, nature-connected business, not a religious organization. Our reflections draw on personal experience, Buddhism, Taoism, Jesus’s teachings, nature, and an appreciation for Indigenous approaches to stewardship. We speak from our own experience, without claiming authority on Kiowa spirituality or other Indigenous traditions.
